There has been a continued decline in the number of airline passengers travelling from the UK. A continued decline in passenger figures is being reported by all of the UK’s busiest and most popular regional airports.

Some of the most popular flight destinations from the UK are the most acutely affected with a 16% fall in passengers travelling to Spain and 10% fewer travelling to the United States from London. Certain UK airports have been more badly affected by the downturn in air travel with Gatwick airport reporting a loss of 2 million passengers and traffic at Prestwick airport down by 25%.

The Guild of Travel Management Companies has reported that the number of business travelers taking flights was down by 15% in the third quarter of 2009. This is the fourth consecutive quarter in which surveys have shown a consistent decline in passengers.

The fall in demand for air transport is thought to be partly due to the recession and partly due to the decline in the value of the pound. Many British holidaymakers have opted to stay at home this year instead of flying to traditional vacation destinations in Spain or America.

Some airlines are making cutbacks as a direct result of the decline in business. BMIBaby have announced that they will be making cuts in routes from Cardiff, Birmingham and Manchester as a result of the continued downturn in business. And last week British Airways announced that they had suffered unprecedented summer losses and these will result in a reduction in the number of flight attendants on each flight from Heathrow from November 16th.

While there have been reports that some are seeing what are described as the green shoots of recovery suggesting that the recession is coming to an end. Unfortunately for the air transport industry it looks like there is some way to go before passenger figures return to the pre-recession highs.

People have become so busy in modern day society that they are constantly running around and not stopping. One of the most stressful times in anyone's life comes in the daily commute to work. So let's have a look at some of the easiest ways to actually get to work.

Bus
If you live quite local to your workplace then you may want to consider getting the bus, as you wont have to worry about parking.

Taxi
Although a taxi will be the most stress free option it will end up costing you the most.

Train
A huge amount of people commute on the train every single day, the thing about the train is that they always seem to be getting cancelled and delayed, especially when the weather is bad.

Bike
If you are looking to keep healthy then why not try cycling to your work place? You can cycle to work even if you live somewhere far, because most trains allow you to load your bike onto the platforms.

Car
In my mind I believe one of the easiest and cost efficient ways to get to work is via your own vehicles. It does not matter if you have new cars, used cars, big cars or small the reality behind it all is that if you want to get to work on time then you have to take things into your own hands.

There are many more ways to get to work, you just need to find a suitable option for yourself.

Do you want to Buy an Audi or Buy a Nissan
