Obsession to sports is one interesting part of American culture. We idolize the sports stars.We want our professional sports team to be winning. Even the sports that our children play is also affected by these obsession. So much so that sometimes it gets out of hand.
I have noticed this trend running a family therapist San Diego service.It gets out of hand a lot of times because teenagers and their parents put too much stress on these games.It will not happen all the time but the thing is it still does happen.The need for counseling is needed at those instances.
I have witnessed this a lot of times when parents get stressed so much by watching their kids succeed in sports that they themselves will need a counselor. This can sometimes cause strains in their relationships. So instead of having the need of help in succeeding in sports they will be needing help in resolving some family issues.
Those are the times when some teenagers feel that they need help.
